C64 on Wii
Already a firm favourite with Wii owners, the Virtual Console has once again expanded its catalogue, this time with the addition of a whole new games format. Wii owners are now able to enjoy classic titles from the best selling personal computer of all time, the Commodore 64. These titles join classic gems from the likes of Nintendo, SEGA, NEC (Turbografx-16) and SNK (NEO GEO), that are already available via the Wii Shop Channel.
The Virtual Console is a unique feature of Nintendo's revolutionary Wii video game console that allows players to download games through the Internet. The Virtual Console offers Wii users hours of enjoyment with classic games that were previously released for older-generation game consoles and home computers.
The first Commodore C64 titles that have appeared on the Virtual Console are:
- International Karate Released: 28/03/2008
- Uridium Released: 28/03/2008
- California Games Released: 11/04/2008
- Impossible Mission Released: 11/04/2008
